چکیده
Shape Memory Alloys (SMAs) are an innovative material with the unique features of superelasticity and energy dissipation capabilities under extreme loads. Due to their features, they have a great potential be employed in structural engineering applications different conditions. However, order effectively use SMAs civil structures model behaviors accurately Finite Element (FE) packages, it is crucial for engineers comprehend mechanical properties cyclic behavior SMA compositions varying loading While previous studies focused mainly on tensile loading, important evaluate fatigue tension-compression seismic applications. This literature review aims discuss current gaps existing rebars low-cycle (LCF). The provides comprehensive overview primary characteristics SMAs, summarizes presented parameters that affect them, critically evaluates effects LCF SMAs. also summary constitutive models compares advantages limitations, which helps employ appropriate predicting accurate FE software.

Studies of selected mechanical properties of nitinol – shape memory alloy
Because of their specific properties, shape memory alloys are applied in many domains. The investigations were conducted on nitinol alloy in the form of 3,1 mm diameter wire, whose Af temperature as stated by the manufacturer is Af =65C. The wire was stretched in a strain hardened state and after annealing at 500C. The influence of different heat treatments on the engineering stress – strain cu...

15 صفحه اولA Thermodynamical Constitutive Model for Shape Memory Materials. Part I. the Monolithic Shape Memory Alloy
Pseudoelasticity and the shape memory e ect (SME) due to martensitic transformation and reorientation of polycrystalline shape memory alloy (SMA) materials are modelled using a free energy function and a dissipation potential. Three di erent cases are considered, based on the number of internal state variables in the free energy: (1) Austenite plus a variable number of martensite variants; (2) ...
